They really fill up the 17" wheels! Replaced 12.5" Cobra rear discs with the 2018 13" discs. They are so close to the wheel I had to relocate the stick-on wheel weights out of the path of the calipers. The extra stopping power can really be felt compared to the 94-04 Cobra brakes. Installation was a snap since the inner bracket (part of the MustangSteve mounting kit) is the same for both Cobra and 2015-2019 Mustang GT rear brakes. Only the outer bracket differs, and it bolts on.
You can pick these brakes up for under $200 a set, shipped from ebay. Mine were from a brand new car. I have the same ones on the rear of my 1956 F100 also, but it has the 2018 14" front rotors and huge calipers. I am planning on finding a way to get those huge calipers on the front of my car using a 17" wheel. Will experiment with a 13.2" front rotor from a 2014 GT. I know for a fact they will not fit inside a 17" wheel using the matching 14" rotors.

I did the same thing last year. In fact I think I bought the first set of brackets from Mustang Steve. They were supper say to install. I bought a new set of rotors and calipers from Shelby American for $80.

Yup, he needs them.
I remember in the late 70's my Dad brought home an early Maverick, 72 I think. It had a 302 and gobs of power but could not stop for stink. A fun little car that Maverick was but needed big brakes.

what did you use for parking brake cables ? I know the newer rear calipers have a round end/loop that hooks over the caliper bracket

I used the MS Cobra cables and fabricated a fitting on the end to attach it to the 2017 caliper. I used a '97 Escort EBrake handle.

I bought a set of cables from RockAuto for a late model F150. Brand new in Ford box. They have the correct ends for the GT rear calipers. I used just the inside wire and stuck them back in the housings from my cobra parking brake cables. Overlapped the front cable on each side and attached with two cable clamps about 1” apart. Real easy.

My Baer kit allows you to mount the calipers in several positions. I had them on the rear of the wheel opening around 11:00. The Baer cables wasn't long enough and where the parking brake cable came out it interfered with the TCP coil over shocks.
Today I moved the calipers to mount them on the front side around 11:00. This allowed the baer cable housings to be long enough. I routed the cables thru the brackets on the front and connected the two ends using the factory cable connector. All I have left to do is install the handbrake inside the car and route that cable underneath and connect it to the bracket.
I do notice it seems like my cable may rub the floor pans in a few places as its up real close to the floor pan and lightly touching in a few places, Is this normal ? I'm thinking maybe putting something over the cable to keep it from rubbing the paint from the floor pans.

67-70 cables rub the floorpan from the factory. Won’t be a problem.

Could you imagine having a bunch of spare cash, an invite to spend a weekend with Mustang Steve and of course the wife's approval? Your Mustang would never be the same again

Two out of three of those would be easy to come by. The third...not as easy. You fill in the blanks.

Thinking they were 2015 or newer.
Late model means 1974 or newer in MustangSpeak.
