Does anyone know if Ford had blind personnel working on assembly line?
Reason I ask this question. I noticed there are dimples/dimple on back side of ‘65 spindles.
One side has one dimple and the other side has two.
Looks like they may have been stamped at factory.
I would post pictures but not listed in my options.

I don't know about that but I do know they color coded part different parts for different cars. My drive shaft still has very faint reminents of the paint stripe coding on it.

Don’t know if they had them back in the day but they have them now.
I paid $400 extra for the red paint on my 2019 F150 and the final inspection missed a paint flaw on the right rear door.

Since I can’t upload pictures. Take a look at the front brake kit for 2005-2014 GT 12.5” on Mustang Steve site. If you look at left hand side of picture of backside of spindle, there is a single punch mark on spindle. The opposite spindle has two punch marks. I was cleaning up my spindles for rebuilding and noticed these marks.

I can't see what you are mentioning but it may be the factory Brinell test.

Read how that test is performed and it could very well be the marks I see on leading edge of spindles (backside).
Just wondering what it was and possibly why.
Notice stuff like that when cleaning up old factory parts.
Did they perform these tests after the 60’s as well?

Yep it is still done, Brinell and Rockwell tests are done in just about every quality control area of industrial manufacturing that involves heat treating and testing the hardness and toughness of metals.
