67, 68 mustangs, both have very wobbly exterior handle buttons. Any idea on why or how to firm them up? Driver side 67 is fine, the other three are very loose.

For less than 20 bucks each for new repops it’s not worth the effort. Concourse ones are a bit more, that’s what I put on my 68.

You mean just the pushbutton is wobbly, or the entire handle? Two very different fixes...

No Sally, 2 mustangs equal 4 doors, 3 out of the 4 wobble like crazy.
And Steve, it says just the buttons are wobbly. Whats the fix?

Has the compression spring behind the button failed? If the spring breaks, the button will be very loose in the bore.

Had to fix that condition back as part of my Bash Thrash. Pulled the handle and replaced the screw that holds the whole affair together...which had fallen down to the bottom of the door. That's on a 66 so......
