Anybody have any idea what that young guys "pulled out" when they fired the engine?!
I watched several times and can't fingger it out.

I *think* it was a button/jumper for the starting device he was using. Like the blower snout units that get fuel cars going, but looked older.

Good question, I am not 100% sure. If you look close near the end of the video you can see the starter on the ground (big round thing with a handle). Pretty sure they squirt alcohol in the injector hat then spin the motor over by connecting the starter to the blower snout to get it started. I am almost positive that's what we saw. I am not sure because I've never hung out with the drag racing crowd, but it is my understanding that some racers use magnetos for the ignition source. The way to keep it from firing is to ground the mag. I'm going with it is the ground wire.
