Pin Wiring Diagram for Turn Signal Switch Harness.

I'm replacing the turn signal switch harness on my 1966 Mustang.

The replacement harness comes with the wires terminated but I need to reuse the connector.  I took off the connectors in order to remove the wiring harness and realized I didn't know which wire goes in which port.

The harness has 8 wires.  2 go to 1 connector with 2 ports for the horn, then the other 6 control the turn signals and go into a little connector that has 6 ports.

I'm trying to find this but I can't tell exactly which wire goes into what port.

Re: Pin Wiring Diagram for Turn Signal Switch Harness.

I wish you had asked BEFORE removing the wires. Too late for you, but my method is to simply cut the old wires about 2” from the connector block. Then pull the old switch out of the column. Then install new switch and wires. Remove one cut wire at a time, replacing it with the same color wire from the new switch. This makes it impossible to get wires in the wrong place.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

changed both turn signal flashes.

Turn signals work now but not when I turn on the headlights.  Hazard Lights don't work at all.  I suspect I have a wire in the wrong pin in the column harness.
