Bilstein stiffest available, You won't be dissappointed. I have the medium stiffness;but, will go stiffer down the road. Medium stiffness is a nice smooth ride;but, not great when driving agressive.

Definitely the Bilsteins.. I have the street version, but my car has a much lighter aluminum engine. Either of the two versions will work great. I tried darn near every shock available through the 27 years I have owned my 66, so I think I qualify as an expert shock tester on early Mustangs! Nothing else compares to Bilsteins.

I've run KYBs for getting close to 30 years in my '67. Reasonably happy with them. Price wise they are a good shock, and seem to do fine without the need for external adjustment. I've also run their GR2 struts in my '02 WRX and find them a nice performance replacement, again, without breaking the bank and going to coil overs or multi way adjustable struts. I'm also using the GR2s in my '89 GT project, which will sit about 1" lower than stock and has some handling upgrades. We'll see how they do in it.

Cheap Gabriel stock shocks for me.
They ride smooth as "prune juice & diarrhea"! (THAT......is smooth)
