I used some MustangSteve brackets to install new OEM calipers from a 2009 GT on my 65 Fastback. I am trying to get the parking brakes hooked up so I can pass inspection and was hoping someone had some info on what cables I could use. I am planning on using the electronic parking brake system from E-Stopp with one of their Junction brackets:

Normally you would simply connect to the original drum brake parking brake cables, but the electric gizmo complicates things as far as my realm of knowledge.
You will have to measure and get cables to fit your custom installation.
BTW, the original parking brake stuff works perfect with those calipers, but I do understand the urge to modify something just because you can.

I did not have the original cables...there were none on the car when I bought it. I had not idea that a cable made in 1965 for a drum brake would marry right up to a disc brake caliper made for a 2009.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
