Ole Shell’ grinnin.

Wherever Shelby is in the great corral in the sky he must have had an ear to ear grin yesterday about 4:30 eastern time.
His vision of a open header, bone rattling, ear deafening roar of a high winding 289 was brought to his and my attention on US17 in Surfside SC.
Thanks for the ride Mike, it was truly awesome.
That is a seriously fast hot rod.

Re: Ole Shell’ grinnin.

Sounds like fun. As his Mustang has been woefully missing from the last two Bashes, hopefully he'll have it at the 2020 Bash.

Jeffk;

Contact RPM.  Join him RV6, and us when we cruise to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in April.  And remember, you DO NOT need to drive a Mustang to join the fun.  Don't ask RPM, RV6 or me how we know.

Safety and fun in numbers can't be overstated. RV6 might be getting tired of me and BB's mechanical shenanigans though. The chance of having the right tool for the breakdown is greater with more fellers in the caravan.

There are a few of us left hand coast Mustangers here. I live in Mukilteo, which is about 30 miles north of Seattle. That makes me an upper left hander. How many other left handers are reading this?

Re: Ole Shell’ grinnin.

I lived in SoCal for 30 years...until I was 35, traded year around summer and a great job for quality of life and never looked back.  I do miss a few people but not the the other billion idiots.  To those of you who live there and love it, please stay there.  Do not look for someplace with fewer people or cleaner air or less goony politics...please.  You'll just add to the screwing up of the few decent places left to live...like your brethren have done to Colorado.  Remember, as goes California goes the country.   God help us.

How about Texas, Alabama, and Virginia with dozens of trips to Florida?  I'll take wild fires and the odd earthquake to annual tornadoes and floods, not to say mosquitoes and high humidity.  People everywhere are great.

Isn't strange though....you live in Auburn (that's a cuss-word to Crimson Tide folk)  &  you  prolly go to LA alot.(many folks in South Alabama refer to it as living in LA..........South Alabama!)
Now dats funny!!

Don't go to LA a lot.  It's 450 miles from here.  Left it 25 years ago for the Sierra foothills after a life of fighting freeway traffic.  That's why I have over 500,000 miles on the old war horse.     Now we live in the forest with a beautiful view of the mountains.  And, yes fires are a constant worry here.

I assume you know there is a city of Auburn in over 20 states, so the Alabama folks have a lot of cities to cuss out.

At one point, Auburn Ca was ranked the best place in Cali to live.
