Looks great. Nice job.
Can I ask you an unrelated question? Where is your timing pointer located? 10 o'clock or 2 o'clock position?
My alternator is mounted in the same position as yours and my timing mark is at the 10 o'clock position and it is almost impossible to get a timing light on the pointer to read the mark. If yours is at 10 also, how do you manage to read the mark? If yours is at 2, which timing pointer are you using...I may need to add one at that position.
Thx!

I have the 70 water pump, so my pointer is on the passenger side. I can point the timing light directly at it, but must put the timing light next to the alternator.

Nice looking Engine MS! I remember back in the Day painting some MT valve covers and sanding the paint off the fins. Really looked sharp. That looks like a vintage AC compressor. Are those vintage air brackets? Mine are connected under the compressor on the head. The compressor is to high for my liking. Thanks Steve69

Thanks. I have the same style pump, so maybe I need to give it another shot with the timing light. I didn’t try it with the timing light right up against the alternator, but will give that a whirl and see if I have better results.

I am using original 1970 351w AC brackets modified for a Sanden compressor. The 302 head bracket raises the compressor up too high. I modified the belt adjustment idler and brackets to lower the idler for minimal belt length.
