Shows ta go ya what Smokey Yunick knew about Ford engines. He was always partial to Chebbies.

Al, my man, there's a lot wrong with that...
First, that's not Smokey Yunick. Smokey's hats were either black or brown and they weren't traditional cowboy hats. His BDGIT shirts didn't have stripes down the sleeves either.
Second, the car is a '62-'64 Dodge Polara. The engine would be a max wedge 413 with a cross ram and two fours. That trans all over the ground, I was mistaken, wouldn't be a 727, but a 2 speed. These cars did well is stock classes. When they weren't making modern art on the pavement with their transmissions that is...

Well.........I wuzn't gonna say anything butt.....I figgered that wasn't Smokey nor a Ford. (cause he didn't have the pipe between his teeth)

Speaking of that picture... how did a grille and headlights end up in the carnage? Hmm...

I was wrong on all counts. Got an appointment for cataract removal soon. Gonna go curl up in my fetal position and sulk until 5:00 pm when happy hour begins in mi casa.

Cause the grill and headlights on the car are being reflected in the puddle of ATF?

I wonder what that sounded like when it exploded.

Must be something there that can be reused.

I think that's a reflection of the car's front end in the tranny fluid. At least the fluid was clean when it exploded

For sure! A bolt or two.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
