Rain with some snow flakes. PA will or have pretreated our roads, so all DD cars will be nice & crispy by spring. The fall cruising season has ended early here. The old cars are in hibernation. Not getting one out next month for our annual Christmas light ride around.
So the wife said, she had enought. The camper gets packed, and her and the cat is headed south till spring... If I go along, that fine with her...I think she really mean it this time...
So there may be a busted down Silverado sitting along the road in the next 5 months somewheres. If it does. The shotgun comes out, and the truck gets put out of it's misery...

I feel your pain Red. We had 4 inches of snow a few days ago, so generous amounts of salt was applied to the roads, here, as well. I disconnected the batt and lifted the 65 to the ceiling. Too bad. It was running pretty good, and I logged the most miles on it during the shortest "summer" in recent memory.
Happy motoring. Hope the Silverado holds up for you. My 97 was going strong at almost 250k when I turned it over to the tin worms to finish off. Never had the valve covers or trans pan off of it. The transfer case had an annoying howl for the final 190k I owned it, tho… If I hear the shotgun, I'll clear out the guest room for you guys.
(Be sure to post pics wherever you go LOL)

Come-on-down......you won't be the only Pa. peeps here!!

I'm just a tad south of you red, looks like its going to be in the mid 40s as a high and overnight below freezing tonight. No precipitation in the forecast (probably going up north of us, though we had rain last night). Farmers Almanac indicates its going to be a rough winter. Looks like the old car fun is going to have to stay inside until spring.

Thankyou all for the words of encouragement. Wife needs to get her eye fix finished and fitted with new glasses. So in maybe 2 wks. the plan is, that there is no plan, but it is a better plan than just sitting home watching worthless TV, feeding garage woodstove and drinking Keystone lite.
I hope they have Yuengling below the mason/Dixon?

Thoughts and prayers to you red on successful recovery for your wife. Mine had a spot in one of her eyes lasered about a month ago. Much better than a couple years back when she had a detached retina, but still worrisome. Thank the Lord my eyes have never given me any issues.
And on a lighter note, we definitely have Yuengling in DE, and its a good thing because after 4 years in Allentown for college I developed a real taste for the stuff. Out of curiosity I checked to see what their distribution was, and they are in 21 states now, including the whole eastern seaboard from Massachusetts down. Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Mississippi also have it now. Looks like the guys in Texas don't have it yet, but its not all bad as I really like their native Shiner Bock, which we get here too. I had an Alamo once that was pretty good as I recall. All those years of King of the Hill I just had to try it...

Yuengllng was available in Surfside SC area when I was there last month. Not being a suds lover it is the only beer I find palatable.
Getting back on topic, freezing temperatures and light snow in the Niagara area of Canada.
Time to start the winter “to do “ list on the 68.

Speaking of Surfside Beach SC, are you gonna make it to Sally's Bash Rudi?

As much as I want to, the way things look at the moment it does not appear so.

Mom nature dumped over 8 inches of snow on us last night, the most snow we have had on Remembrance Day since 1951.

We got a flew flurries, doesn't look like they bothered to brine the roads. Of course we're looking at a high of 35 today...

Guess we are “luckier?” In da UP Rudi.
We have about 4” of snow, no sunshine, and 11 degrees Fahrenheit.
As my dad used to say...”I’m getting too old for this.....!”
May have to schedule a tow truck to get south of snow to get to Bash...or practice drifting.😂

It’s minus 15 C ( 5F) here this morning. Your dad is right about getting too old for this crap.

Family and weather (80H 55L today) are the only reason I stay in Cali. I did find a nice 3 acre place in Hamilton TX for sale which has a 1,000 sf shop. Hmm.

I have a 3000 sq ft hangar; if only I could put an apartment in the loft upstairs. Life would be grand.

What women look for in a house: four bedrooms, 4.5 baths, large kitchen, finished basement, decorated by HGTV
What me look for in a house: 6 car garage with full bath and laundry hookups attached to something with a bedroom and a refrigerator.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
