I was looking for something else and stumbled across this:
By adding the fuse holder on the relay it eliminates the need for a separate fuse holder. This combo will have to be mounted somewhere that will not be subject to splashing since it is not watertight. I’m going to mount the first one next to the impact sensor on the trunk hinge brace to run run power to both the impact sensor and the electric fuel pump. It even has the circuit diagram on the top of the relay.

Hmn, good idea, but I think there's room for improvement. Making the fuse flush with the top of the relay and in something water tight would really open it up for a ton of applications I think. Great idea combining the two though.

I likey. Do you have a link, or did you buy it local?

Have y’all seen those GPS ACTIVATABLE/ DISACTIVATABLE relays ..? Chinese manufacturers are selling some that act like a remote cutoff switch for a fuel pump relay or something critical like that and gps locator for the car if your car gets stolen .... my gears have been spinning ;) ..

Just be careful what application you use it in, especially with electronics.
I recall that the relay does not have a Diode or bleed resistor in it.

If you have an application that calls for a diode, you can always add an external diode just like the old cube relays.

I bought mine on Amazon, but I checked several of my favorite automotive electrics suppliers and they all have them. Try your favorite electrics supplier.

GPS locator? Hmmmm. Thought that’s what our phones are for. 😁
Is there an APP for that?😁

Another cool box is a delphi 4fuse block it can be interlocked locked with other boxes and relays if you use a snap in relay socket.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
