Replace brake booster 86 mustang convertible

I am having a real hard time trying to get the pin out of the pedal to brake booster.
Pulled the cotter pin off the end easy enough but the pin itself will not budge??
Looking for suggestions/pictures. Thanks

Re: Replace brake booster 86 mustang convertible

While this is NOT a Fox Mustang pedal picture, the installation of your brake light switch and booster rod are identical.  The outer nylon washer can sometimes be a pretty tight fit, but a knife blade between it and the booster shaft should get it loose.  WD-40 is almost always a big help to get it to slide off.  Once that plastic washer is off, you can kind of roll the booster rod to the side to slip it off the pedal pin.  The pin itself is welded to the brake pedal arm.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.
