Took 7 years but...

Drove the mustang around the block yesterday.  It was 7 years ago that I parked the mustang in the garage and told myself I'd need "just a few weeks" to get it fixed up again.  It's literally been over a month of Sundays since then.  What started out as a slipping transmission mushroomed in to a new crate transmission, 4 wheel disc brakes, complete wiring harness, new tires and wheels, and the list goes on.

If felt good.  No seat belts yet, needs an alignment, need to adjust the emergency brake, heard some bottoming out in the rear wells, need to install the custom gauge cluster, no radio, only have the shorty headers installed... lol million other things.

long way to go but she's on the road again.

Re: Took 7 years but...

That first trip around the block and everything seem to work right is a great feeling.  Made a few of them on a milk crate myself. I'm glad for you

Re: Took 7 years but...

Great feeling...good for you!  Nothing like it.  You have four months to work out the kinks and drive it to the Bash.

Congrtas, a quick drive is always good to build enthusiasm to keep going for completion.
