Hey, anyone know the difference between 67-68 and 69-70 trap doors? They look REAAAALLY alike....
I'm looking for a trap door (if it works with a non-fold down system) and preferably (I guess) the trim/sheet that goes there

The folding parts are the same, the latches, kickstand and small stuff is different. Wish I could find the link to a plethora of info on them. You're a bit late or I'd have traded my fold down for your top loader

That sucks, would have been a fair trade.
I don't know the name of the panel that covers the Trap Door Area.......So I'm looking for a Trap Door (if it works on a non fold down backseat) or the Non Fold Down Panel to cover that hole

The non fold downs used a different panel instead of the trap door. I remember an article years ago where they repaired a trap door cut for speakers by using a non-fold down panel.
The trap doors are reproduced (not sure about the non-fold down panels). I got one from Dynacorn to cut up for speaks and it looked and fit just like the factory one, which I didn't want to butcher for speakers.

Thanks TKO,
I'm aware they made both a door and a panel, what I really need to know is of I can use a Trap Door in A Non Trap Door Application (or will there be Large gaps and or whatever along the bottom)

Pretty sure it would work, because the rear trim panels aren't any different.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
