What Clutch cable do I need for my T5 in my 65

I haven't posted in quite a while, I guess that's a good thing because it means I've been driving the car and it's been trouble free. However, yesterday it seems like the clutch cable has given up the ghost. I have (had) the improved Mustang Steve cable (72" length) along with the firewall adjuster and would like to find a replacement locally, if possible. Can anyone let me know what I can ask for at the part counter? Is it a standard Ford cable? Thanks!

Re: What Clutch cable do I need for my T5 in my 65

MustangSteve can supply the cable by itself or use Ford Performance Parts cable for 96-98 V8 Mustang. The Ford Performance cable has threads for adjustment where a stock replacement cable does not.  The MustangSteve cable and the Ford Performance cable are dimensionally identical.

The cables tend to last a real long time unless they rub against the firewall hole drilled during installation or they are positioned too close to headers.

Re: What Clutch cable do I need for my T5 in my 65

Thanks, Steve. I kind of need it in a hurry. I see multiple part numbers. Which is the one I want?  M7553B302, M7553C302 or M7553D302 . Nobody seem to provide specs for any of these. Thanks, again.

Re: What Clutch cable do I need for my T5 in my 65

Well, Ford likes to change part numbers with no description apparently.
Used to be C302

I can tell you if order from MustangSteve you will get the correct cable.
