Well, back to square 1. Again

I've been Bash thrashing for months on my '66. Got it running 2 weeks ago but the C4 died. Got it rebuilt. Flushed the cooling sys today and noticed left tail pipe had a lot of condensate mist while idling. After full warm up it seemed ok. When I pulled it back in the shop, there was a trail of water drips and a small puddle under the left exhaust tip. New spark plugs on left bank are half white and half dark grey. All on right bank are dark grey, slightly rich. Sound like a bad head gasket? Oil is not milky.
Last week I had new tires mounted and force balanced on new billet specialties polished wheels, and the tire shop, which has been there about 35 years, put 5 scratches on the face of all 4. For $100!
So far not one single thing has gone right with this project! Rant over.

Re: Well, back to square 1. Again

That coolant leak may not be ah head gasket, but a intake leak. Next morning pull the plugs + coil wire, Then turn over the motor and see if any water spray's out of the spark plug holes. If it's only the front ,or rear cylinders it's most likley an intake leak.

Re: Well, back to square 1. Again

All of the tire places around here have those new machines that do not touch the wheel when installing or removing a tire.  They do a good job of not scratching the wheels.  They leave the scratching effort to the STUPID GUY INSTALLING WHEEL WEIGHTS ON THE OUTSIDE FACE OF BRAND NEW WHEELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.
