Flitz for use by hand, Eastwood’s stainless white rouge stick for power buffing.

Chrome plating seems to be popular.
Yes it can be tinted black, don't know of any other colours.

Oooh... that was your question.
On the stainless around the glass I sanded it with red 3M scotch brite pads, using WD40 for lubricant. I did the same for the aluminium grille surround moldings.

Caswell has a kit for that, I saw it on their web site called "plug and plate black chrome kit"

No plating on the brackets, it’s only bead blasted and rattle caned black satin “Tremclad” it’s a Canadian type of Rustolium
