I have 2 sets of these that came with my car. I was told one set is stainless, I dont know but is there a value to them if they are NOT SS? i want to help a good friend out thay doesnt have a mustang but I dont want to give something away that has value to our group.

Try putting a magnet on it. Most stainless is non magnetic, and the types that don't corrode and take a high polish like 300 series is not magnetic.
As far as value, tough to say. Things are generally worth what someone will pay for them. You could check eBay and see how common they are and what the asking price seems to be. But, don't equate asking price with sale price. Often people have absurd expectations on eBay.
My gut tells me that hubcaps are of waning value as most people want wheels. There's always going to be the resto crowd, but they seem to get smaller and smaller as modifying these cars no longer hurts the value provided the car wasn't rare to start (Shelby, Boss, etc.).
