Idaho bound!!!

Well the wife and I are in escrow on a house in Twinfalls! Bigger house, bigger garage and on a half acre so I will have room for a future shop. Looking forward to a we cheaper in our life but not looking forward to the moving part, we have too much stuff lol.

Re: Idaho bound!!!

Gonna be different.  Different climate, different culture, different mindset...just plain different.  I still recall what we went through in 1980 when we moved from L.A. to Montrose, waaaaaaay different but you couldn't drag us back with big truck and a log chain.

I sincerely hope you find a better life and love it. I started out ('til age six) about 140 miles north and a bit east of TW...little town of Mackay.   Ruined me for life, never got the "small town" out of my system.
I'm very happy for you, enjoy!

We are really looking forward to the change. It has been in the plans for a long time. I have family in Twin , it going to be nice being closer to them.

Re: Idaho bound!!!

Well it is official. The house closed today! Now for the moving part..... The wife and I have been packing it seems like forever and still have a bit more. The plan is to move the bulk of the house this week then return to Yuma and get the old house finished up to put it on the market. And move the  mustang planning on trailing it. I have someone who is interested in the convertible, hopefully it will be sold. One less thing to move.

Re: Idaho bound!!!

I worked a couple of summers around the Twin Falls area with fond memories. Sometimes I miss the life of a DoodleBugger. Look it up.

Re: Idaho bound!!!

I went to Nuclear school in Idaho Falls. Build my V8 Pinto there. Believe it or not used the rebuild motor out of my 65 fastback and put a junk yard motor in the fastback.

Re: Idaho bound!!!

My dad was born in Arco ID, and they lived in Twin Falls for a while. My great grandfather was a blacksmith there 100 years ago. Have many relatives buried in Twin Falls and up north in Coeur d'Alene.  Happy trails.

Re: Idaho bound!!!

Hope you love it up there, Alan.  I spent my first six years in Mackay, about 50 miles north of Arco where my dad grew up.  My grand mom lived in Arco 'til she passed at 104.  Arco is the first town in the world to be powered by nuclear energy...says so right on the city hall.
Maybe we should have a bash up there.
