Hello all, i still have some leaks from output shaft seal from t5 z transmission , also if is new seal .
Try to look at video replacing and find some differences in spare parts .
the video shows a bushing and seal . Once the outside seal was off i have seen something inside ( like another seal or cast aluminum ) that make impossible to look inside the trans .
The strange thing is that when i removed my seal i was able to look inside ,and see the speedo gear .
So i don't know if trans is missing some pieces or not .
Do someone have an exploded view or know what deserve the bushing ? is it normal that is only one seal to protect from leaks in a spinning spot ?
thanks

I downloaded the Tremec Service Manual from the Tremec website, there are many exploded views throughout the manual. Looking through it I do not see any "internal" seal on the output shaft other than the one at the end of the tailshaft housing.
Is it possible your driveshaft spline has a rough service that may be wearing out the seal?

You might try contacting . I had spoken w/Paul Cangialosi who was very helpful with my 5th gear synchro issue several years ago.

Here's a link if you don't already have it
You'll want the WC (World Class) section :-)

There is a bushing the yoke rides in, and a seal. The seal can be replaced with the trans in the vehicle. If the bushing is bad the tailshaft has to come off and this has to be done on the bench. Check that the yoke fits prior to reinstalling it. I've had some bushings over the years I had to hone to get a good fit on the yoke or they were too tight to allow the yoke to slide in. A brake cylinder hone with some ATF for lube worked to open it up a bit. Did it on a drill pres so I could go up and down and make sure I got eh whole thing opened up evenly.

I found the odd : the bushing and seal are for toploader , T5 has only the seal .
Now i am using the toploader seal instead of t5 seal . that's why leaks . thanks !
