My new to me $1500 toy

A local company was having a fire sale. Lots of really neat stuff and I was a dollar short and 5 minutes late on one item. I did score a Miller Dynasty 200 DX Tig welder with a lot of accessories for $1500.00 so I was happy. The Dynasty 200 series welder is a lot more welder than I need but the price was right. The argon bottle is about 2/3 full, the other 1/3 is the only welding this machine has done, so says the owner.
So here it is.

Good find, the biggest part of a good deal is to know when to strike.

NICE!.............comes with a foot pedal too.......so you can do Alum. (don't need it for SS or mild steel). Lotta fun and hard to make an ugly weld!

Nice score! So... which item did you miss out on buying?

Oh Sally, pretty sure I'm proof you can make an ugly tig weld.

Re: My new to me $1500 toy

You probably already know this, but that's like a $3,300 machine.  It will also do a lot more than just TIG.  With the right equipment you can do arc, MIG, etc. with it.  It also has the ability to do multiple types of wave form, AC and DC, etc.  Its a really nice box.  I have what's basically an older version of it.  I've only used mine to arc weld, but one day I'll get the TIG stuff for it.

Re: My new to me $1500 toy

Yeah, I missed one with numeric control at an auction over $500.  I had to go and told my buddy who stayed I'd pay $3,000 for it if he'd bid for me.  If I'd been there I'd gladly have paid the extra $500, but I wasn't and missed it by that much.  It was a $25,000 piece of equipment and that was 20 years ago.
