This year has sucked for putting the mileage on the 67. Damn near everything we planned to do was canceled or postponed.
This month I have only put 1769 miles on the 67. I am way behind on my average of 10K/year.

That reminds me. I got to driving tonight!

Wow, I've managed to put 23,000 miles on my '67 in the 16 years that I have owned it. I'm only on my second tank of gas so far this year...

That is actually pretty good for a classic car owner.
When I put the 67 back on the road 10 years ago I started daily driving. I worked and the office was 82 miles, round trip. Summer only months. I have been retired for over 3 years and I since I don't drive to work anymore I find it hard to put the miles on. We drive to the grocery store, the hardware store, the gas station. Last weekend we did the 500+ mile trip over the divide to Grand Junction. If you got em, drive em. Someday "They" will not allow us to.

I guess I loose, 4500 miles since 96. I do have it on cheap conditional club registration that is very restrictive. Did have it on open registration for 3 years, at over $1000 per year. Managed to put 500 miles on it then. Can rent something real nice, once a year for that sorta money.
With working between 80, and up to 120 hr weeks, and spending my downtime in the States there was never time to enjoy it.
Gotta admit I've been cheating on the conditional rego since Wuhan ... so thanks China for something.

Not too many so far.
Working from home with work truck.
I’ve put about 1000 miles on my wife’s 79 F150 picking up tools and parts.
That’s been fun too.

900 miles since the engine rebuild after tonight's run. Runs rather rough after the RPM's get a little high but if I floor it for more it likes it and goes. The left rear tire is out of round and let's me know it above 70 mph.

20,000 miles on the '66 since November 2013, after a solid year-long thrash every night after work and every weekend. Goal was to drive it to Daytona Turkey run. Made it. Not a lot of miles this year with no road trips, but I feel a day trip coming. Been driving my '69 Firebird more lately when I want smooth and quiet-ish.

I've only gotten gas once since March. How few miles might that be. The '15 GT has been filled only twice - the last about a week ago. We're pretty hunkered down here in the foothills.

Had the red 72 out a few weeks ago and went north in to Perry county PA for a relaxing ride. They just got there first stop light a few yrs ago, and still have covered bridges. The 67 is still in hibernation and still will be till next summer the way it looks.

I filled the tank once this year, it’s still half full.
On this date in past years it was multi fill ups on going to MCA shows, cruise ins and top down week end drives.
Damn Wuhan virus sure has messed up the world as we knew it.
wonder if it will ever be the same.

I haven't done much driving at all since March. Like many of you everything here that we traditionally attend has been cancelled. You know you're seriously quarantined when the birds build a nest on the frame of your truck.

Well i have put maybe 500 on my 65 this year, was planing the 2020 Bash that would have gave me 7K but that didn't happen. Good thing had fuel pump fail when the centric fell off. So just some driving around town. Heading up to Montana for the 4th so I will get 1500 on it before I do my rebuild this fall.
I have 18K on my 67 C-10 that has taken 20 years since I did a ground up. But we plan on driving the 65 everywhere soon.

When you have two toys It was always a dilemma on what car to go out and play with. Lin wanted to go in her 05 and I in the 68, ended up selling the S197 convertible.
Having two fun vehicles seems to halve the mileages on either.
In the climate we have here SO I would not own a Mustang unless the top folded. I read somewhere that per capita Canada has one of the highest convertible purchases worldwide.

I have run several tanks of fuel out this year butt........didn't really go very far. (Around town mileage $uck$ large time!)
Were I live is kinda the opposite from a lot of y'all. Drive winter spring and fall mostly. Summer beach traffic and the hu-damn-idity (thanx BB) make for a lotta misery. I DO take it out butt........after Labor Day traffic goes away for the most part.

16,800 ± miles since I bought it in May 1996 (bought with 49995 miles showing). I had it in hibernation since July 2014. About a month ago I started working on it again and am hoping I am close to start driving it again (fingers crossed)
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
