Sniper efi throttlebody with stand alone ECU

Hi
I have a sniper that has a broken ECU, my plans is to take the throttle boyd and use the sensor+ injectors and hook it up with Another standalone ecu, like haldtech or something similiar. Have anybody Heard about someone that did this ?

Re: Sniper efi throttlebody with stand alone ECU

It appears that the Sniper uses GM sensors.  I can't tell what kind of injectors its using, but on a budget kit like this I would hazard a guess they are high impedance of some kind.  The question is, how many are there?

You would need an ECU that is designed to be used with GM sensors and has the correct number of injector drivers for the number of injectors in the system.  The big question for me would be if there are say 4 injectors, does the system start using 2 and then transition to 4 to keep pulsewidth reasonable at idle?  If that's the case this is going to be considerably more difficult because that type of fuel management is not what other systems use.  Two injector throttle body systems like the ones used by GM are batch fire, meaning that only one injector fires at a time, and feeds fuel to half the engine (why they are also called bank to bank).

Bottom line, you need a lot more info on what the Sniper is and how it works to do this.  My advice would be to just get another Holley ECU if you're looking for a quick and easy fix.
