I was wondering how many here have installed the 3 point belt system from Wesco Performance in their older Mustangs. I originally installed the 3 point system several years ago using the standard installation in my 68 where the upper attach point is above the rear side window using the existing anchor point. The belt always seemed to rest a bit high on my neck, so I just recently installed the new belt system that uses a 7" sash to lower the point at which the belt rides. (I do have 96 bucket seats installed using the same 68 seat tracks to mount the seats) It seems to have helped, but did not fully rectify the belt riding on my neck. The original belt kit included hardware to install an anchor plate near the top of the door post, but I didn't install that version, as I figured that the stock upper belt attach point should be the one to use.
Has anyone done this mod using the lower mount installation and how did it work, or has anyone had the misfortune to have had to use the belts in an accident and how did they work using either attach points?

Several folks here have them including me. I like mine and would buy then again. I'm 6-2 and have my seats moved back a couple of inches so I don't need the extender that lowers the belt off your neck.

I just installed 3 point seat belts in my stang from Wesco.. All 4 seats! and it went well! Mine is a 65 coupe and the third point for the rear went in the trunk.
They are drop shipping from another vendor actually that may have more customization options available on their site than wesco does.

I used them as well but added some bling to them.
Having a "roll" bar solved the upper mpount issue.

I have thought about installing a roll bar in my vert for the sole reason of having somewhere to mount three point seat belts to. Did you install the roll bar? If so, which one did you use?

I installed a three piece 67-68 Shelby from Tony Branda. I have it set up so that the top part of the roll bar can be removed to get access to the stuff inside the quarter panel.
The tubing is .120" wall thickness and I did not think that is enough to bolt the top belt mount into so I made a steel mounting block that slid up into the top section. The center mounting hole for the top belt mount was tapped after final assembly.
Getting the pocket ready for the spacer block.
The top spacer block in place, later I used some black silicone around the preimiter to finish it off/
For sfety sake I got a third brake light from a 2005 Mustang and stuck it in the there as well.
