So I owned a 69 for 15yrs and recently acquired my 68.......I was driving in front of my friend who also has a 68 and noticed his Parking lamps at the front were on, and I liked how it looked!............
after seeing my black beauty with hers on I was Saddened to Learn they go OFF When the Headlights are engaged......69 didnt do that!
is there a Mod i can do to my existing wiring and/or Switch to keep the Parking lamps on?
\\\Would a 69 Headlight Switch fit and work the way I wanted along with Everything Else?///////
regards,
Jeff

I would just add a jumper from the rear taillights to the front parking lights at the headlight switch

If you don't get your info here, Midlife and Mach1driver are wiring experts on 69stang.com who can give you the correct answer.

Can anyone confirm this? has anyone done or cared to do this? will it affect the Turn Signal Function?

IT WORKS!!!
Go in your headlight switch...........find out which plug is the parking lights and which is the tail lights. Make a short jumper wire(maybe 3-4 inches) and connect'em! Pretty EZ........hard to screw up........very reversible(IF for some unknown reason you wanted to)
You know how to pull the headlight switch??!

Bradster made this a few years back. I used it on my 68 and it worked. I moved the wire instead of adding a diode.

There's also this for a 68 switch.

I axed my wiring guru, and this is his reply:
The parking lamp wire is typically a black/yellow wire located on the middle row next to the red/orange wire. Remove it from the headlight connector switch plug and splice it to the brown wire (running lights) located between the thick black/orange wire and the blue/red wire. Your parking lamps will be on when the headlight switch it pulled out fully or half-way.
Sometimes, the brown running wire is paired with a blue/red wire at the plug.
That's all it takes!

Google Bradster wiring diagrams and it will come up as a picture of 65-66 Mustang park lamp modification.

Here's the diagram I have from Bradster. Diodes normally drop about 0.7V, not 1.5 though.
