Would anyone here like to see my coilover conversion I did with qa1 shocks. I like it alot rides smooth many different setting I can set the strut to. Awesome mod what do you all think?

I was also thinking of building a lower control arm bracket similar to what they use on coilover kits. But instead use new 05-present mustang coilovers. Any ideas comments suggestions

Looks like some good workmanship went into that. It looks like to me you just eliminated the spring perch. What else is different? What keeps the control arms from trying to rotate as the shock/spring put weight on those two little lever arms?

Is a custom tubular control arm whit heim joints on the ends and uses stock 65 upper ball joints and a custom back support that mounts in stock 65 location the mounts are similar to stock perch mounts they just look a Lil different due to the tubular ct arm

My only complaint is I should've waited till summit had the dual adjustment screw qa1 shocks in stock. And for the top it mounts to stock perches or mounts what ever you call them

550 is a lot of spring for a coil over set up. What engine are you running?

Also the coils have centering lock rings that help keep the coil centered

A 351 bored 30 over. It rides like I'm floating on clouds say I don't see a pot hole or its to late to swerve don't even feel it suspension wise. And with these ajustable control arms it has mad bump steer almost gone away

I'm actually using 250 lbs coils I also have a set of 175s that my neighbor/ hotrod builder gave me

Another question for y'all. I was thinking about making a setup that will uses newer mustang struts on my 64 1/2. I was wondering about a end to end measurments of the struts preferably from where the base starts before where it would hook to the spindle. And then where mounting starts on the top.

You, are a busy man. It does look very professional. What size tubing are you using?

For the uca I'm using 1.75 x .1/4" wall tubing. And where the stock 65 ball joint mounts I used 1/4" plate for mounting.

I have to commend you for having the nerve to build your own suspension. Like MS said, the workmanship looks really good.
What grade of steel did you use. I would think you would need something with a little more strength than mild steel.

You know when I was looking reading forums on people who had made a tubular control arm. I saw many people who had actually used thinner wall tubing horror and also a few companies who use thinner material that what I used so where I'm at on this I think is pretty good. Would anyone here be able to measure their mustang struts maybe from a few years I'm thinking 94-present because I have a design that would allow those to bolt to 64 1/2-73
