3 point retractable seat belts 2 months in the making

I just installed 3 point retractable seat belts in my 68 Cougar today. I like the ones I bought but the problem was with the set I bought 2 months ago from Wesco.
I placed an order with Wesco for a set of belts due to many people saying they are good belts and they were happy with the results. I ordered the belts 7 weeks ago and was immediately contacted by wesco by mail saying it will be  to 4 weeks before I will receive my belts. I agreed and said I would wait. 4 weeks passed and I contacted them on an update on my order.......It will now be another 7 to 10 days.......I asked if I could at least receive them by Sept 1st.
No they can not guarantee any date, now saying Covid was there delay.
So I asked for a refund and they said to call and give them my card number to refund, they do not answer phones at any time they go straight to voice mail, any time of the day.
I left a voice mail with my info, (not advised) and if Im lucky I might get my refund.
So today I bought a set from Retrofit Belts from Summit 50 bucks cheaper than Wesco and I am very happy with the result.

Re: 3 point retractable seat belts 2 months in the making

Seems as though "Covid" is being used as a crutch for a lot of companies.  Prolly didn't hinder them from going to the bank with your money (so-to-speak)!?  Yeah, I know..........that's different!

I had good luck with them. Hate to hear that you didn’t. Hopefully they will get back with you quickly.

Re: 3 point retractable seat belts 2 months in the making

I ordered a replacement set for my original Wesco belts a couple of months ago. I had ordered a new set with an 8 in drop section so the belts on my 68 didn't ride so high on my neck. I also had to wait a couple of weeks longer and I was told when I called that they were waiting on parts so they could finish making them. They finally arrived, and I installed them, and I am happy with them now.
