Power brake booster

My brakes work great, no issues.

Just wondering as I always do.

What brake booster other than fox mustang /fairmont will work with MS swap?

I know someone else has had to think the same thing at least once.๐Ÿ˜‚

Re: Power brake booster

The MS 65-66 booster setup is specifically designed for the fox booster bolt pattern and input shaft length.  Same booster fits Granada, Fairmont, monarch , NOTVersailles, and Fox Mustang and Capri.  There are three variations of the same configuration and you never know what you will get if you just go to auto parts store. That is why MS has done the work for you, adding value to what we sell by making sure you get the right part when you buy from us.  You can even use the V8 foxbody booster but it is thicker dual diaphragm type and typically overkill, but with your 14โ€ discs might be advisable.  I have never recommended it for general public installation because the vacuum port interferes with plastic tanks on disc/disc master cylinders.  ( can modify to work) Also the export brace extended mounts must be removed from to shock towers. It clears a Shelby export brace fine.

To my knowledge, only the cars mentioned have same configuration.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

Re: Power brake booster

For starts, the single diaphragm works well with 14โ€front/13โ€ rear.

This question came up during my search prior to the conversion.

Mustang/Fairmont single diaphragm.
Fairmont Dual diaphragm ( looks the same but thicker)
Foxbody later model single and dual (with dual looking like it has dents in it)

Then these are the ones I was also wondering about.

Cobra dual diaphragm ( looks like the Fairmont dual to me in pictures)?
94/95 boosters...stud pattern different
96-01 Explorers...modify mounting plate or relocate stud on booster?
Foxbody LTDโ€™s...should be same as Mustang and Fairmont

For some of us, salvage yards are like an โ€œEโ€ ticket at Disneyland.

Thought this information may help others.
Especially if they have those parts already or have access to them.

My wife was concerned one time before we were married.
I was in Fleet Farm for 5 hours.๐Ÿ˜
She hasnโ€™t seen me spend a whole day in the salvage yard...and still come out with nothing.
Just looking and thinking about stuff.๐Ÿ˜‚
