Nice day for a drive

Sunshine, a bit of haze, mid seventies the 68 had a full tank so Lin and I decided to take a day off from a new microwave install and go for a drive. We hightailed it’ about seventy miles down some back road for a perch feed in small town on the north shore of Lake Erie.
We feasted on fresh perch, slaw, potato fries, celery bread and washed it down with a half carafe of local white Pino Grigio.
The leisurely return trip home took us right along a road with the lake on one side and cottages on the other. Not much fall colour yet but lots of Halloween decorations in peoples yards.
It was a great day with the top down, the car performed flawlessly as usual.
I gotta tell you I sure do love the electric power steering the car is a joy to drive
We put on a bit over 150 miles and all in all  it was great to get away  from all the troubles that are going on in the world these days.
I hope you all had a good day as well.

Heck Rudi, if you'd have said something I'd have joined you. I drive mine nearly every day, mainly for the attention it draws.

Love that ride along the shore of Erie over there, worked a couple of years on a plant in London, Ontario and one of my biggest suppliers was in Welland Hydraulic stuff. There was a lodge on the lake I always stayed in that was real picturesque along that drive.

Well..........since  most of Southern Cal guys are driving their 5 windowed coupes or T-buckets (or "woodies" with the surfboard in the back) on the way to the beach in Malibu (where most of them live!) I guess a tricked out 69 Mustang WOULD draw a lot of attention.
