Lost one to the heavy Side Today

Been working on finding Chuck a 71-73 convertible He half stepped and missed pulling ther triggrt on two he wished he had picked up. Then He goes to Spring Texas(Houston) and bought a 1963 Ford Galaxie XL500 Convertible Peacock Blue, buckets F&R Console, 9' rear and a 390 4bbl. Chuck wanted a BIG Ford convertible He got one

I used to drool over those 'verts at the local Ford dealer when I was a young lad.  That car looks super clean!

My Dad usta have a 63. First new car he ever bought! I remember he let me drive it(some of the way) back home from the dealer. Too bad it wasn't a rag-top.

I have always loved the 63 XL's. But whats up with the pink air cleaner and valve covers? Komen?

The lady Chuck bout the XL 500 from, had bought the car and had it all fixed up to celebrate her 10th Annaversary surviving Cancer.
SO PINK!!
Chuck sez he's gonna take the center cover from the Air Cleaner and make her a clock, So's she'll have a momento of the car.

I owned one just like that one back in 1969. Same color body, interior and top. Unfortunately 3 weeks after I bought it the front frame broke in half cuz it was so rusted! I should have fixed it but did not have the resources then that I have now. The interior vinyl was pretty shredded so I only paid $75 for it, but I think I only got $25 when I scrapped it! Sure do miss those deals.


It's easier to add horsepower than it is to lose weight.
