Just started he install of the American Autowire harness in my 67 shelby clone.
Been debating the whole hiding under hood wiring.
I dont mind seeing a few wires but the wiring that comes out by the brake booster and runs around the shock tower to the front of the car is an eye sore for me and limited room there, close to headers etc.
The harness Has two branches that run to front of the car. The engine harness( all engine sensors, electric choke etc) and the other branch is the headline, lighting run.
I'm thinking maybe i run both of those out the passenger side near the antennae hole and then to the front of car fastening the harness up high and in something to protect it. The engine wire can come thru the hole by the battery apron under the solenoid. The headlight/ light run can go up to the headlights etc from behind the bucket on passenger side and then find away to hide it going over to driver side.
Thoughts ? who has done similar ?
Have seen some online where light harness goes out driver side under fender and the engine harness out passenger side. I'm thinking do everything on one side probably would make things a little easier.

I hid mine behind the fender apron, butt...
It may be an eyesore, but it sure is easier to access in the stock location. You don't have to jack up thr car, remove the tar, yada yada...
Pick your poison.

I used surplus dish washer hose one on each side under the fenders to run the AAW wires through.

I have the stock loom on the driver's side, and add on circuits on the passenger side.

Hummmmm, I will be addressing this very same issue this fall after I pull the motor. Mite use a trunck mount wire kit from Ron Franice like I did in my C 10. This gives you lots of wire when you do mount the box somewhere under the dash. Lots to think about
