Hello everyone from italy , i'm alex back again .
Winter project is coming and would like to have your suggestions and reply about it .
The lack of money for a stroker crate let me think to enjoy also with one of these three i found :
Questions: how does them works when i remove foot from pedal ? there is a sort of "relief valve " for excess of pressure ? ( supposed that they still produce pressure also when downhill you use enginebrake ) .
One of these will wotk on mine stock , long tubes 289 rebuild engine ?
Engine needs to be low compressed or mine 10.1 is good ?
Not looking for 100 hp gain but some pepper in driving will be enough .
A 700/1000 budget and time build will give me some ...or better pass on ?
Thanks i apreciate any inputs before i waste money !
BTW hope eveyone is good with this stupid covid issue ! will be really nice when will be over and shakes our hands as supposed to be ... like friends ever did !

Waste of money, especially to try and get less than 100HP. Blowers are a great power adder, but you want to be able to add minimum 100HP. On a typical stock rebuild engine that has cast or hypereutectic pistons this is a good way to destroy an engine because without forged pistons you are asking for problems, especially with a carb.
All I see in the eBay listings are blowers. There are a ton of other parts you would need to make those work. The centrifugal blowers require a pressure box where the carb is installed, and a special carb that can operate inside a pressurized environment. Any kind of blower will require some way to retard timing to avoid detonation. You need a blow off valve to avoid damaging things when you let off the throttle. The centrifugal blowers work best with an intercooler, or they can have a lot of lag. I would avoid a used blower as well. I'm also cautious of prices on parts that are too good to be true, because eBay has a lot of Chinese knockoff stuff sold as genuine. I think you'll have $2,000-$2,500 into a blower setup by the time you get all the parts and to spend that and make say 50-75 more HP because the engine can't take more is a waste of money.
I would put my money into a good set of heads and a roller valvetrain (cam, lifters, rockers). Select the heads right and you can transfer them over to a larger engine at some point when you have more money. You'll spend probably $2,000, but you'll make another 75HP or more reliably, and have a setup you can use on a larger engine later for even more power.

I agree w/TKO's advice.

I forget just what all you have in your engine but........I think you would need to replace A LOT of stuff BEFORE you ever start the blower addition.
A 'blower-motor' needs to be a "clean-sheet-of-paper" type of project.
Save your $$$ for a trip to the US for the next MSBB!

My advice on heads would be either Edelbrocks or, if you can afford them, AFRs. Then get a recommendation from Crane, Comp, or one of the cam companies as to which roller cam to run based on your combination. You'll need conversion roller lifters with link bars. I would advise running a 1.6:1 roller rocker (stock ratio), as the 1.7s just put additional stress on the valvetrain and since you're getting a cam anyway you can have the little extra you'd get from the 1.7s ground into the cam instead. I like the Crane Energizer rockers. Harland Sharp also makes a good product.
Now all you need is for me to pack them in a cookie tin for you and mark the package as a Christmas gift to avoid the import duty, right?
