I do both and it is black and the cover does good job.  Without it, not good.

Re: How many of y'all......

I used to put a cover on it too, but stopped because it seemed the cover gave critters a place to hide.  Once I moved it down to my garage from the shop keeping it clean hasn't been too tough.  Dust comes off with a duster.  I wash it right before it goes to sleep for the winter and with a few dustings its usually fine in spring when I'm ready to start driving it again.  Mine is black also, and yes, they are hard to keep clean, but no, I wouldn't paint it a different color if I had it to do over again.

Re: How many of y'all......

Yup...I use a light dust cover, keeps it spiffy.

Re: How many of y'all......

Like Bob I use a light cover when in the shop to keep the dust off during the driving seasons.
I do a lot of other work in the shop as well and don’t want the created contamination on the fabric top or paint.
We get winter here in Niagara and that’s when I use the light cover on first, a heavier one on top of that and then drape old bed sheets over the whole thing to protect the car from the inevitability of carelessness.
My shop is heated in the winter and I am out there making dust and smoke with something just about every day.
And yeah Sal  dust never sleeps.

Since I drive mine ever day, nope. Sally, you haven't seen dust till you've been to Bako.

Re: How many of y'all......

I do both.  Mainly because I have my ATV and Mower next to my Mustang.  So it keeps the dust off it when I use the lawn mower.

Re: How many of y'all......

No cover on mine at any time. In fact she does not get a bath that often as when I was her, it rains cats and dogs the next day. I use the hose and rinse her off during pollen season as the pines deposit tons of green pollen for weeks in the spring. She's gonna get a bath in the next couple of weeks before I put her away for winter in the climate controlled shop.

Re: How many of y'all......

I cover the 66 when the driving season is over and but I don't cover it during the spring, summer and fall. It is always parked inside the garage. That reminds me, I need to get a new cover for this winter. My 2003 Wolf cover is starting to come apart.

Re: How many of y'all......

I keep the cars in the smaller garage away from where I do the dirty work in the other one . I quit covering them because we get some mildew on the interior when they sit a month or more. Tried different thing to rid the problem, but the covers seems to make it worst.

Re: How many of y'all......

I have only ever parked my car in a garage. Never gone for the car cover deal. It is parked in the same garage as the other family car and I have a mower beside my car too. It gets a bit of dust and dirt on it, but I am not worried by that. In my mind, just as long as it is not outside in the weather (where it will deteriorate quickly).

Re: How many of y'all......

Not typically, I want to look at it when I walk into the garage.

Sheryl bought me a cover years ago cause it was so hideous looking and she didn't want to see it. It finally deteriorated and we tossed it. I did get another one last year when it was reduced to garage art and we had a lot of work to do on the house.

Re: How many of y'all......

Spent $90 on the cover, it's in the trunk.  Have to keep it in the garage per the Hagerty policy.  Will probably throw on the cover December - February, those aren't really driving seasons around here especially with summer tires.
