Now that's an idea! Printed out of something tough like Nylon and then wrapped I think that's the best plan yet. You'd need someone with a decent sized print bed and the ability to do a drawing of the original and then modify it
for the new head unit.
Brilliant, I'm massively against modifying OEM parts.
I wish there were aftermarket......now to find a 3d printer 🤦🏻♂️

The 68 model was all about safety! Padded everything, collapsible steering column, fold away door handles etc etc.Head rests and shoulder belts as options Strange my car had factory head rests but no shoulder belts, oh well

Look for forums for it and see if someone is close by. Its a big thing with tech types. I have a buddy that does a lot of it. He bought a fairly cheap one and has been improving and modifying it for the past 10 years or so.

Another suggestion is if you know someone with a high school kid and have them make parts for their school project. Win-win!
