He has a 65 T code fastback that needs a new engine. I am trying to convince him to let me convert it to v8.
That said, I will need a 8” rear end for 65-66 and a C4 tranny for a v8 and, of course, an engine. I figure a 5.0 is the way to go, but they are getting scarce around here! Will need driveshaft, v8 accelerator pedal setup, frame mounts for v8 motor mounts, exhaust manifolds, etc.
Anyone have that stuff laying around they want to sell for a reasonable price, or a few garage points?
The closer to San Antonio, the better.

Well, ifin you was closer, I have an 8" complete rear and V8 spindles and hubs for sale. Yeah I know, it's too far away. I'll look for some of the smaller items for you.

You will also need the v8 steering parts and front suspension to get to the 5 lug set up. The I6 brakes and steering are barely safe.

I also wish you were closer, I have a working C-4 that you can have.

Have spare motor ready to go--new 289 stroked to 331 with D00E reworked heads, Air Gap, etc. EFI-friendly cam/non-roller. JBA shorties or Summit "block hugger". Flywheel for 5 speed. Can put it on my run stand if he wants to see it go "vroom!"
Have Versailles 9" with new Rusty B.-built posi. Would need spring perches welded on. Needs brakes.
Free driveshaft if it would work.
Got some really nice stuff if yall need whatever.
I'm more 67-70 oriented for pedals and engine mounts. Sorry if not much help.

I’m about to pull my c4

Well - you're about two months late for the free C-4 I just gave away. I do have a running '88 Lincoln town car that has a 5.0 in it - non roller. It has 92,000 miles on it and it has lived a very sedate life. Unfortunately, I'm in Connecticut, so I assume shipping will cost more than the engine is worth. If nothing else works out - let me know and we can discuss further.

I may still have the frame mounts that were in my 64.5 vert. I'll take a look and, if I have them, you are welcome to them for the cost of shipping.
I have a driveshaft too, but it is in rough shape (very rusty and pitted) and probably not worth the cost of shipping.

Non roller engine, but probably still a roller block making for an easy and cheap conversion using all stock parts.

Hate to see a rare car hacked up but I have a 351W sitting in my garage. It's a 71 block, .030 over, GT40 heads, Edelbrock Performer intake, RV cam, Milodyne 7 quart oil pan and Melling oil pump (standard volume). Rebuilt by a professional machine shop in Houston area in early 2000's. Has about 10000 gentle miles on it since rebuild. Ran strong. Not free, want $ for it. If interested PM or email rextherocket@yahoo.com.
