Just Before 6Sally6 Called Me...

As was driving over Grapevine hill to pick up a manual transmission crossmember for my 69, I drove up on this car hauler and I think, that's cool. Nice auto focus camera.

As I drive past the rig I see this, and think that's really cool.

The place I'm headed to is Mustang MD in Castaic, and owned by a really cool guy named Paul. He has a plethora of little rust early Mustang's and hard to find parts, which he'll ship. Here's a small sampling:

Re: Just Before 6Sally6 Called Me...

Website? Nope, but he's got a phone number: 818-367-0055. No idea what size parts he might limit shipping on. Give him a call, he's easy to talk to.

He was a banker in LA, and decided to escape the rat race. His wife has moved to Texas and awaiting him to sell off his inventory.

Re: Just Before 6Sally6 Called Me...

If he is the one I'm thinking of, he used to have his stuff in a field in San  Fernando Valley back in the '80's.  The county kicked him out and I think he moved up there.  At the time I was doing business with him, he was trying to sell off his existing stock to get the move done.  I think I might of bought my 351w from him.  He was good to work with.

One time I was there and he showed me a '66 GT350 he had in the yard.  He would not sell any of it.  It looked like it had been hit by a train or something like that.  Irretrievably smashed.  I think he wanted to transfer the title and and the useable stuff to make a fake Shelby.  That was a popular thing to do in those days.

Careful, don't let on that its clearly the missing Bullit car that was incorrectly identified in a Mexican junkyard some years back.  I always thought that was a forgery...

Re: Just Before 6Sally6 Called Me...

That old gas pump would look really good in the corner of my living room.  I wonder if the wife would mind.
