My PCV valve is chattering rapidly like a buzzing sound. Car is running fine. Absolutely no indication of anything being wrong. I’m going to replace it but my question is could there be something causing it other than just a bad PCV?

I don't think that chattering like a buzz saw is a sign of failure. Depending on the mods to your engine it may not be the correct PCV anymore. I replaced mine with a MeWagner adjustable PCV and all is well.

I didn’t take into consideration the mods to the motor although I’ve had this motor for over ten years and it just now started doing this. That said I may try the adjustable valve. Thanks
