black friday is good when you know what to buy .

Hello friends , as black friday comes with offers i put my eyes to steering wheels , with doubts .
I found some differences with hubs with 2 different sety up .
I have oem 15 " with tri-bar horn and 2 springs as horn contacts .
As my doubt refers to horn contacts with new hub , i need some advice , before buy the wrong one .
these the references :

This last one is 15 " and hub comes with differnent shape . it's conical . Need to search if is available 14" .
What do you think about this conical instead of cylinder one ?

I have no experience with any of these, however i do have a question for you.

Doesn’t Italy have the old world craftsmanship that everyone desires?

Hi, i think you refers to Nardi wheels  yes , it's italian brand , famous for old cars . The only issue regards pricing
with too many zero ...

Re: black friday is good when you know what to buy .

Nardi, Personal, Fittipaldi...many zeros at end...true.

Maybe a cheap British one.😁

There are nice billet wheels with probably better quality control and better prices.
Just have to find or make adapter to fit stock column.

Take a look on E-bay and once you find a wheel you like, take a look at other items for sale from seller.
Sometimes not all show up with initial search.

Have a safe holiday.

Re: black friday is good when you know what to buy .

I have the black powdercoated version of that billet CJ Pony Parts steering wheel adapter.

Good things-
1) It is unquestionably strong.
2) It retains the steering column wheel lock (many adapters don’t).
3) It is extremely concentric unlike some of the welded steering wheel adapters.

Bad things-
1) Packaging is horrific.  I’d give it about a 5% chance of making it to you in perfect condition.  They pack the hardware on the outside, mine had screw thread imprints in it from being dropped on the hardware packet.  The imprints were dented into the aluminum- powder coat was chipped..
2) The horn rings are printed circuit board with a thin copper overlay.  I am not sure they will last a long time.
3) Even though it has two different steering wheel patterns it only has one spot for the turn signal cancel cam.  You got a 50/50% chance on the cancel cam being in the right place depending on the pattern of the wheel you choose.

My guess is that the horn rings will easily last 10,000 miles, maybe even 50,000 miles but they won’t last forever .

Thanks for reply . You are right about it . This leave me 50 %   doubt just about cancel cam and wheel pattern .
That's the focus about my post that i would like to clear !
welcome anyone has info about it.

Re: black friday is good when you know what to buy .

I got an inexpensive Grant wheel for Christmas a few years back. It wasn’t what I would have bought but it was a gift from the wife so... I really like the wheel but the horn button and mechanism was junk. Most of the time the horn wouldn’t blow but when it did it wouldn’t stop. I finally bought a horn button from GT Performance. The quality is very nice, installation to the Grant wheel was simple and it works great.
