What have you guys used that’s will withstand winter storms?
Access openings?
Color options?
Not an arm and a leg?...It’s temporary
What to look for in construction?
Sizes?
I may kick some cylinders out of garage for this year.
Mustang stays inside for winter projects.
I see them as permanent storage around here.
Plenty of snow and high winds too.

Properly staked down I'm sure it will be fine.

For the last 10 yrs. we been storing one in a 24' enclosed trailer. It stays clean and dry inside, where as in our small unheated 2 car garage it gets a bit damp that attracts some mildew over the winter. Going to try some Damp Rid for the interior this year.

Just to help out here with dampness. Add open boxes of sawdust in the corners of your garage and they will help to absorb the dampness. You can even put it inside the car and it is cheeper than DampRid. In the spring you can dump them in your flower beds.
I had a Costco tent for 3 years with a 8' roll up garage door mounted on the front and it worked well up here in the PNW.

Old Shivel-laz make good Ford storage containers
Considering where I live.......rust is our biggest "issue" and that happens even in a hermetically sealed container!! Snow?....No ...No Snow!

Vehicle storage...although a mini might fit Sal.

You should have said vehicle storage at the start. I thought you were looking for something to store garage junk ......stuff to keep it dry. I’ve heard about zippered bags that you can enclose a car in. They talked about keeping varmints out. Not sure on a price.

Dan, rent a storage unit in town for a few months. Your stuff will be safely tucked away for the winter. Plus, they plow their lots so, you can access the unit if necessary. The temp storage contraption you pictured may work but it may also turn into a green rumble weed rolling across a frozen Lake Superior. I understand northern Mich winters...of course, your results may vary.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
