There retrosound radio just up and quit overnight. It lites up and that's it. Never was real impressed about it's sound quality and just to complex for our liking anyway. More money wasted.

Funny you say that,
I too have a retro sound in my dash and never did like the sound quality. It still works but is disconnected and will be replaced with the stock radio for looks. I currently have a Sony MEX-XB120BT single din HI Power mounted in the trunk with an App running on an old I phone on the console. This deck has built in CD/AM/FM/SiriusXM, 180W RMS Bass boost, bluetooth, usb and more. I love it

This is concerning... I just ordered a Retrosound for my car. What model do you guys have and how long have you had the radios? With The radio that has stopped working, if it were me, I would contact Retrosound?

Mine didn't stop working, and it is about 6yrs old now. They only had 2 then one with USB and one without. it just didn't have good sound. I upped it to the 4 pre amps into a 4 ch 50wt x 4 amp, but it just wasnt clean like the sony is.

It was a classic something. They changed the name some time later, but it's still the same radio.

I have a Retro Model 2. Bought that because the Custom AutoSound POS I had was very poor on sensitivity and selectivity. The sound quality never mattered to me as my hearing has rendered "music appreciation" impossible. Went to the Retro in '15 when we put the Heap back on the road after the "Major". I like it as it has great Bluetooth for my cell phone and and has alternate inputs, one of which I use for Sirius XM. With the power antenna from the 89 TC donor car the sensitivity and selectivity seems to be fine...way better than the CAS POS.
Another thing that impressed me was the ease of remoting the "box" from the faceplate...just a couple of two-pair phone cords. That can be handy with the limited space under a 66 dash.
