FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » I would like to obtain that optimal stance upfront. Suggestions pls » 2/27/2017 10:07 AM

I've been researching stance for my upcoming mod quest on my '66 coupe.  Almost everybody I researched have cut the springs about 1/4 coil even after the 1" lowering springs and shelby/arning drop.

I don't see any issue with cutting the springs by that much, especially if you're just going to be cruising with a little spirited driving thrown in.  Just take off a little at a time, though, because cut springs will settle.

FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » Unisteer R&P Pump Question » 2/26/2017 9:05 PM

Hi guys, I just picked up a used Unisteer setup for my '66.  It is missing a few items that I will need to source.  One is a power steering pump.  I asked the person at Unisteer if my stock pump would work.  She said as long as it is "low flow" and pushes between 800-1100 psi it will work.  Does anyone know what the psi rating is for a stock '66 pump?  I cannot find it anywhere.  Has anybody used this kit with the stock pump?  What does the steering feel like?  Thanks!

FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » Disc Brake Question » 2/17/2017 10:11 AM

Hi there.  I just purchased the master kit Ck-165M that includes power booster for my 66 coupe and I have a couple questions.  I found a MC from a 2001 V6 Mustang here locally.  I also grabbed the distribution block with it.  Will I be able to use this block?  Does it replace a proportioning valve?

Also, I'm looking to either buy a front disc brake conversion kit, or buy the GT mounting kit here and source my own calipers/rotors/etc...  When looking in the local salvage yards, does with or without ABS matter?

If it is pertinent, I've also purchased an 8.8 rear end out of a '97 Explorer that I plan to have narrowed.  So, I will have disc/disc.

Thanks for the help!
