Shine On

I suppose I got tired of looking at the dull wet sanded finish on the front fenders. So I polished them and the area where the left windshield and roof meet, where I'd done a repair a few years ago.

Other than these 3 repair spots the paint is as it was sprayed in 1999. Now I gotta polish the rest of the body panels to match. Ya, I don't work too fast.

Re: Shine On

Dunno, I kinda miss the primer grey. Now I won't be able to pick you out when I'm drivin' through Bako.
Dan, I don't think a buff is gunna cut it.

The primer grey is long gone Barry. If the 69 woulda made it to Glen Rose or Clinton, you'd have seen the primer was painted over.

🤣🤣🤣 Yep. Might just have to cut and buff it.

Re: Shine On

Just gone for five days, our friends came back with us so we're just hangin' for a few days.  Think I'll check on the machine work and maybe start tearing down a 4R70W later in the week.  Car looks good, Bob.  How's the T3.5 project coming?

Re: Shine On

I've got all the parts collected for the hydraulic clutch. Need to get some compatable rods for the Hurst shifter. Once I replace the radiator in the BMW (today or tomorrow) I'll get the 69 in the air and remove the fmx. Then I need to take the flywheel to the machinist to balance it to the current flex plate, as metal was added to it when the motor was balanced back in 2001.
