What is your Mustang’s build date?

I have one on Aug 12, 1964 and one on May 27, 1966
One in 69, but i don’t have actual date in memory yet.

Wondering if anybody has one built same day?

Re: What is your Mustang’s build date?

August 19, 1968 (19V) on my 68. Don't know on my 65 as there is no door tag. It is a San Jose car. Since the numbering for 1965 at the San Jose plant started at 125001, and my consecutive number is 162910, then my car was the 37,909th car built at that plant in 1965. Since total production of 1965 convertibles was 65,663, I don't really know when the car was built.

Re: What is your Mustang’s build date?

1966 Fastback, Springtime Yellow
January 20, 1966 in San Jose
Sent to DSO 71, Los Angeles.
Recently discovered the car has a 64 1/2 hood, date code 7/7/64 Cleveland plant 3rd shift.  All these years I never noticed the curved lips on the hood front. Most of the front end had been replaced when I bought it on July 27, 1981

Re: What is your Mustang’s build date?

June 4 1968, Dearborn Michigan, DSO central Canada.
Original colour, Sunlit gold💩
Colour now is similar to Flower Power red , a special order in 68.
This car still sports the paint that was on it when I bought it, the interior  was parchment, I redid in black.
If I was starting from scratch I would have painted it Seafoam green.

My 68 was originally Seafoam Green. Then a couple of cheap thin coats of burgundy by previous owners,  now Viper Blue.

Re: What is your Mustang’s build date?

A few months before I bought my car I came across a pristine rust free all original Seafoam green convertible with black top and interior. It was absolutely stunning.
The owner , a lady, was adamant it was not for sale no matter what I offered. If it ever comes up for sale I’ll be on it like  ugly on an ape!
