I bought some motor mounts for my 66 from Autozone. The were so misshaped the bolt heads could not fit down flat. They were total garbage. About $12 each.
I then went to RockAuto and ordered a pair of Anchor brand mounts. They were $5 each. They were forrmed like the originals and are MADE IN USA. The rubber part was not as pretty where it flashed through the mold, but they appear to be good quality. RockAuto sells many different brands of the same mount. I ordered Anchor because it was a name I recognized. The ad did not state where they were made.

Since I put these on my 68 about ten years ago, the Tri-y header bolts have not budged one bit. They restrain the engine movement more than the O/E type but don't eem to affect the NVH.
They cost a bit more than the Anchor brand and I doubt they will ever have to be changed.

If you want a little more security for your motor mounts, you can run some bolts thru them as I did:

The 66 and later mounts are different than the 65. Only one part number fits either side.
While bolting them together makes some structural sense, it only makes sense to do if there is some slack in the bolts so the rubber can act as planned. And I am somewhat cncerned about that sudden stop when the limits of the loose bolts is reached.
Sal, my main rule on polyurethane parts is to not use it on any connection that has a rotating component.
Those poly mounts look real nice. And if someone here has tested them and they did not add any NVH to their car, I might just be interested in tryng a set. Let’s hear from those that have poly motor mounts installed! Maybe my hard head could be convinced, as I have little confidence my $5 Anchor mounts are going to contain my 427 with much longevity.

I didn't use those mounts, but I used Ron Morris adjustable motor mounts which are poly and noticed no more noise or harshness than rubber mounts... and only a very slight amount more of vibration... hardly noticeable really.
They are expensive, but I went with them because the 67 small block mount is different that the other years and was not reproduced at that time. I also like the way that even if the rubber/poly bushing fails the motor mount is still contained by the bolt that goes through the bushing... similar to an eye bushing on a leaf spring.
If I remember correctly Daze bought a set of the Ron Morris mounts and replaced the poly bushing with rubber... always an option if you find the poly too harsh

Speaking of mounts, I decided to walk around and inspect the convertible body sitting on the rotisserie in my driveway yesterday. Someone knew the value of the engine mounts and crawled underneath the double tarp wrapped body and unbolted and stole them. I need to inspect further to see if they got anything else. There is only a few parts left on the body. Luckily, I have another set, but man, can't have anything nice anymore.

Wow, what a scumbag. Probably no idea what they are either; some junkie going to get $0.50 in scrap metal for them. Its like the cars I see on the side of the highway that are sitting on the brake rotor because the jack got stolen. I think "Really? I mean, the poor guy's already got a flat tire, but you have to be the a-hole who makes sure that when he comes back with a new tire he still can't get the car moving again because you stole the jack for $1 worth of heroine." Some places the punishment for theft is removal of a hand...
In general I'm not a fan of policies like that, but in certain circumstances I can see the point.
