I AM WANTING TO GET RID OF MY STOCK LEAF SPRINGS THAT ARE LOWERING THE CAR WITH 2 INCH BLOCKS AND THE CAR SEEMS TO BOTTOM OUT ALOT. I HAVE HEARD THE CARS RIDE ALOT BETTER WITHOUT THE BLOCKS.
BEEN LOOKING AT THE REVERSE EYE MUSTANGPLUS 4 AND 1/2 LEAF SPRINGS. I HAD HEARD THEY WERE MADE IN INDIA AND WERE CHEAPLY MADE.
ARE THERE ANY COMPETION MADE IN USA OF BETTER QUAILTY?
ANYBODY HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THEM OR ANY OTHER REVERSE EYE LEAF SPRINGS TELL ME THE PROS AND CONS OF THE DIFFERENT BRANDS,

I have 4 leaf reverse eye springs from M+. They have worked just fine for 20 years. No idea where they were made.
M+ has always had very good quality parts, but my car has had little done to it in the last few years, so I do not know about their current equipment. Their tech support used to be pretty good. Call them.

What about taking your springs and getting them reset to the height you want? This is what I am currently considering...

Eaton springs from NPD. Made in USA and can get the ride height you want.

I had M+ in my last build and they were reverse eye and I think I had the five leaf version. They rode well and I had the car for six years or so before I sold it.
I’m at a point we’re I need to buy new leafs soon. I hope M+ will have what I need as I plan on ordering from them again.

Blocks are a terrible idea for two reasons. One they move the axle upwards, which is why you are bottoming out so much; you've reduced the available suspension travel without stiffening the spring.
Two they increase axle wrap on hard acceleration. The axle is now siting atop a lever instead of directly on the spring.
I would get a set of 4.5 or 5 leaf springs with the reverse or mid eye to set ride height and stiffen it enough to prevent bottoming with the reduced suspension travel. I've used Eaton springs for years and always been satisfied.

I CANT FIND ANY 4.5 REVERSE EYE SPRINGS MUSTANGSPLUS HAS BEEN OUT FOR A WHILE.

Do the 1/2 leaf trick I talked about in another post. Raises you up about 1" and doesn't destroy your ride.

If they are made by Eaton yes, if made in China, I doubt it!

MUSTANGSPLUS HAS BEEN OUT FOR A WHILE NOW AND SAID THEY DONT KNOW WHEN THEY WILL EVER GET ANY BACK IN. I ORDERED FROM JEGS'S HAD A 10.00 COUPON AND FREE SHIPPING BUT HAD TO PAY A OVERSIZE CHARGE TO FED EX. STREET AND TRACK WAS GONNA CHARGE 127.00 TO SHIP SAME PARTS. ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU CHECK AROUND....I PUT SAME PARTS IN SEVERAL VENDERS AND BIG DIFFERENCES IN ALL.

THE SPRINGS THAT ARE ON IT NOW WERE BOUGHT AT MUSTANGSUNLIMITED ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO CHEAPEST ONES THEY HAD AND 2 INCH LOWERING BLOCKS....THE ONES I AM GETTING WITHOUT THE BLOCKS HAVE TO BE AN IMPROVEMENT LOL

I MAY SEE HOW IT RIDES AND DO WHAT MUSTANGSTEVE ADVISED HE MAY DO TO HIS NEIGHBORS AND TAKE THE LITTLE 5TH SPRING OUT IF THE RIDE IS TOO STIFF.

Scott Drake just has a mediocre reputation anymore. When I started in the hobby Scott Drake stuff was the best there was. Then the actual Scott Drake sold his company and the new owner just wanted the name because it was associated with quality. They set about expanding the product line with a lot of stuff that was built with nowhere near the quality of the original Scott Drake stuff. This basically trashed any good name Scott Drake once had. Now I find their stuff to be hit or miss. Some stuff is exactly what you would have expected 20 years ago, first rate quality. Some is the same made in China crap other sell, but sold at a premium because it has "Scott Drake" on it. I can't comment on their springs because I have no first hand experience. I've just learned to be cautious of anything labeled Scott Drake.

I have the 5 leaf mid-eye from Mustangs Plus...since early 90’s.
It’s the KYB’s gas-a-just that are too stiff.
I finally removed and sold the rear sway bar I had on it.
Tires loose traction long before any kind of wheel hop.

I ORDERED A SET OF BILSTEINS FOR THE REAR TOO.

REALLY WANTED THE 4.5 LEAF FROM MUSTANGSPLUS BUT O WELL.
