Guess I'm getting old...I do have twenty years on you. Butt (TS&T), I like it the way it is. Looks like that could be driven coast to coast in comfort with nothing to worry about or put up with. Just my opinion.
It is a beauty as is.

I'm with BB on this. If you want a blower use a centrifugal and stick it under the hood. I'm all about that sleeper life.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww...Bobby-Bobby-Bobby.....Sounds like a sure sign of 'gett'in-old'!
Where's that old Southern Cal spirit?!
Jus' funn'in ya!
That......with the blower-surge and all the .....snottiness(is that a word?)from the race fuel...and the sweeet racket... that comes with it .....sorta makes the old heart thump a little faster!!
Makes ya wanna light-up a smoke and pop-a-top with ya buddies (ala 1965......) when thangs just weren't that complicated!
I don't wanna own it........just take'r round-da-block a few times......and then give it back!

BB,
Thanks for the comments,
I think ill add AC before any power adds, but I still have dreams of a 32 fenderless coupe, that would be cool with the blower

Gotta live green cars!!!! I’ll take option 1.
That blower has to be hard to see around. Agree with keeping it all under the good. Got to admit though... WOW factor is off the charts.

Buy a 2nd one and do the 6-71, enjoy both worlds
I remember being in high school with my $500 dollars saved up and looking through Auto Trader (early 80's) for my 1st car. I wasn't fully a Ford guy at this point and found a beautiful 76 Trans Am 455 with a 6-71 poking through the hood for only $7000.00!!!. God I wanted that car, I also remember trying to get a loan for $6500, the loan officer was not as gracious as I had hoped. His idea was for me to deposit the $500.00 and then turn around and borrow $500.00 to "establish credit"... Crafty old toot.

My son really wanted me to put a blower on the car. He loves the look of it sticking out of the hood. I actually ran across a complete 351W with the blower setup installed. I have to agree it was tempting.

They do a great job of spending YOUR money don't they? My oldest is under the impression that he gets my K5 when he turns 16, mainly because he wants it. I'm thinking, yeah, that's what I'm going to do, give you the vehicle I have untold thousands wrapped up in that makes 450HP just because. That'll be a good life lesson for you: I want it so someone gives it to me. That awakening is going to be rude I think...

Reminds me......(old men say that A LOT!)......Young Sal in high skool......thinking about first car....(my Dad could buy!!!! )
I found a 57 Sunliner with the drive train out of a wrecked 62 Gal.
406....tri power......4 speed....sweeeeet ride(especially by today's standards!) 1,500 bucks(maybe less, can't remember!)
I THOUGHT.....I had Dad convinced..found out later my Mom told him she would divorce 'em if he bought it!
She more than likely saved-my-life.
I can' think of ANY 16 year old kid(boy) mature enough to turn loose... on a Sat. nite.... in 1964/65 with a rag-top Ford with that kind of scoot!

REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
