Building Al’s 408 stroker. Parts left over?

I finished the short block last night, but this was laying on my assembly table when I got through.  No idea where it could go.


Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

Thrust washer for a piston skirt? ------- Aint know body got time for that!!

Pwshhhhh yea piston skirt thrust washer ....... one piston won’t have one ... just a little vibration.... tiny bit .. just kidding !! :D


If it aint broke, I have'nt tried to "Fix" it yet!

They always throw an extra nut or bolt in the package in case you lose one. Nothing to worry about.  Carry on.

I went back and counted oil scraper rings on all eight pistons, three times.  Somebody is missing one from their engine, but not Al's.
