Shelby drop and upper arm shaft tool

hi , fixing to do shelby drop  soon. i know the book call for using a spacer tool if you change out the shaft bolt and end caps on the upper control arms.  do you need to shorten this tool when doing the drop.

If you use the MustangSteve method of cutting slots in the shaft and welding the bushings to the UCA, the spacer is not required. And it really doesn’t work in the first place.  See Tips forum on how to rebuild UCA so they last alot longer and have less binding.

I think Daze has the templates for the Shelby drop.


Its really me....I fixed my caps lock .

I too have a template I made many years go that bolts to the original holes and then use a transfer punch to transfer new marks.  I even have transfer punches.  You can borrow them and mail them back when your done.

already got the template from daze. look at tipsl , will follow that. . I got to research my sterring.  my six cyl. may not have all six cyl parts.  removing disk brakes kit and mag wheel from my falcon to use also.

mayesville between sumter and florence. i'm 28 mintues form i95 and I20 cross over in florence going west.
i hope to drive down and meet 6sally6 this fall
