I installed 96 seats in my 68 using the 68 seat tracks. The power seat tracks won't work as they make the seat sit too high. I had to drill one extra hole in the bottom of the seat to make it sit back far enough. I'm 6 feet and I still have a little room left to move the seat farther aft on the 68 tracks. I was able to wire in the lumbar support pump, so at least that works still.

I have 2012 Mustang seats mounted to my stock slides in my 65 with a center console.

Ron, what's the maximum diameter steering wheel do you think you could use with those seats?
I trial fitted one, and didn't like it with the stock wheel. Like the seats though.
Do you think a 14.5" wheel would be small enough?

Yeah, I came up with 14.5 as the maximum reduction as well Bob.
Jim Bowie's wheel is at 15" (Thanks Jim/BB). Trying to work out if it's worth cutting the hoop down to get .25" more knee clearance. I've gotta cut another hub down anyway to replace the early one.
What diameter is your wheel Ron? It looks like it's quite small.

IIRC the 66 is not as wide inside as the 68. I have 1994 seats in my 68 that has inner rockers (convertible) ,
The risers on the 94 seat rails have been removed and ended up being very close to mounting spacing as the  original rails but are about 2 inches longer, that results in more seat travel. In addition I made extensions to put them further back.
Now with all that said the seats are right up against the inner rockers carpet, not enough to impair the operation but they do touch.
So if the 66 inside dimensions rocker to rocker are less than the 68 and the seats pictured are wider you may have an issue.

Since the 65-66 is a little on the narrow side......I used seats from a Mazda(in the FoMoCo family!). Good fit with plenty of room for a console.  Drilled new holes in the floor pan  and accessed them from the bottom. Used large fender washers on the bottom to prevent them from pulling loose in an accident.
Worked  great these 15+ years!

Zero interference when using 05 seat when using stock manual slides. I had my side cover on both seats upholstered to match the seats doing this I had to use a spacer between the slide and the seat frame other than that the seats fit perfect. You do want to slightly offset the seats when you mount them the stock seat track the reason being the 05+ seats are wider than the 04 and older seats. The newer 05+ seats also have wider bolsters. The reason for adding the spacer between the seat track and seat frame was to make it so the seat track would clear. Theres ways around this you could mount the tracks directly to the seat I didnt because I upholstered my seats first before fest fitting tracks. Whoops. If you mount the tracks directly to the seat you will have to trim the side plastic panel. I avoided doing this step by adding the spacers. The reason for the slight off set was to give slightly more clearance against the armrests. The seats are still perfectly centered to the steering wheel though. You could you the power tracks if you remove the seat riser. I dont think these would interfere with a convertible rocker please post pics and Ill be able to tell you. And yes these seats were the same as what you have. I would also like to upgrade the rear seat in my car. The only issue with that is where im at in my build im now debating doing a Fastback Conversion On My car.

I beleive they are very similar to the 11 and later seats. The salvage yard I went to had a older car there and the seats looked similar. I didnt have to make any mods to my seat rails at all the bolted on the seats perfectly after drilling four mounting holes. Then used 4 spacers between the seat slide and the seat. This was due to upholstery being on the side plastic trim. You could easily avoid doing so by trimming the plastic.

One thing I do like is that when I offset the seat I didnt notice beings offset to the steering wheel also leg clearance is great.
